Order Operations Manager
Description
The Opportunity:
Ookla is seeking a highly organized, process-driven, and commercially-minded Order Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day order operations for all products across our direct and indirect sales channels.
In this role, you will be the critical link between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations. You will establish and enforce scalable processes that accelerate our order-to-revenue cycle, ensuring high-quality CRM data, driving contract compliance, and managing crucial customer onboarding and RFP workflows. The ideal candidate is fully versed in revenue recognition principles and contracting nuances, acting as a strategic partner to maximize revenue efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Operations & Process Efficiency
Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the end-to-end order processing lifecycle for all Ookla product lines across both direct sales and indirect channels (partners/resellers).
Accelerate Order-to-Revenue: Design, implement, and continuously optimize operational workflows to reduce friction and promote a faster, more efficient rhythm from deal close to revenue recognition.
Sales Accountability: Partner with the Sales team to enforce strict accountability regarding key CRM inputs, data integrity, and contracting standards.
Deal & Document Management
Intake & Onboarding: Own and streamline the administration of vendor intake forms, customer onboarding processes, and security/compliance documentation.
RFP Management: Support the sales ecosystem by managing operational requirements for RFPs, ensuring timely and accurate submission of business operational data.
Contracting & Revenue Alignment: Serve as the subject matter expert on how deal structures impact revenue. Work closely with Legal and Finance to ensure all contracts align with standard revenue recognition guidelines (e.g., ASC 606), and legal requirements.
Job Qualifications:
Background: 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Order Management, Deal Desk, or Revenue Operations, ideally within a SaaS or tech environment.
System Expertise: Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Quote-to-Cash/ERP software.
Financial Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge of contracting frameworks and revenue recognition principles.
Process Architecture: Proven track record of building and scaling operational processes from scratch.
Assertive Collaboration: Ability to build strong relationships with Sales leadership while firmly holding teams accountable to data and process standards.
Detail-Oriented & Analytical: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-variable workflows (RFPs, onboarding, vendor forms) without losing speed.
